To compliment Erdem's Japanese-inspired Spring/Summer 2010 collection, Charles Worthington created a new catwalk look - the 'Kami Knot', 'kami' meaning 'hair' in Japanese.
Models' hair was styled into a ponytail and then tied into a knot to achieve this look that is structured, yet also soft and feminine. To recreate this simple, striking look follow our step-by-step guide below:
STEP 1 Prep hair with Charles Worthington Front Row Rough and Tousled Salt Spray to take the softness out of clean hair, add guts and give a fantastic texture to work with. Apply liberally to mid-lengths and ends, while blasting hair with a hairdryer to dry in the product.
STEP 2 A clean centre parting is essential for this look. Using the Charles Worthington Conditioning Brush, secure hair into a low ponytail, allowing the hair's natural texture to show and letting hair fall a little over the ears.
STEP 3 Split the ponytail into two. Then twist these sections and tie into a knot. Wrap around in a bun shape and secure using grips, leaving the blunt end emerging from the bottom of the knot. Spray with Charles Worthington Front Row Forever Lasting Hairspray to set the style.
STEP 4 Spritz with Charles Worthington Front Row Shine Spray on the blunt end to make this section look glossy and healthy and control any frizz.
